Four brand new coin designs from the world of Mistborn™. The coins come from two distinct time periods in the series: Era 1 (The Final Empire) and Era 2 (Elendel). The coin art was designed at Dragonsteel Entertainment by Isaac Stewart and inked by Ben McSweeney. Brandon Sanderson approved the design, metal, weights, and styles of each coin.

We're less than $6k from hitting our $100k stretch goal and with 3 whole days left, we're looking at what's next.
Introducing our newest stretch goal: $125k
You asked for it. We'll make it. Vin and Kelsier's Flattened Clip from their steelpushing match as described in The Final Empire. If we hit $125k, we'll release this unique coin for just $10 each as an add-on!

The Clip is flattened and has a very slight bend to it. Each coin is uniquely flattened, so every one will be a little different!

Meet the Press: Era 2
Mintmaster Tom talks a little bit about our newest and most modern coin press which used to make US Quarters in the Denver Mint back in the early 20th century! If you haven't seen the first Meet the Press video, check it out in our previous update.

I put together this guide to show you how to overpledge in Kickstarter and show you how that extra money will be shown in Backerkit after the campaign. In Backerkit - this is a little preview of what the add-ons will look like. You can see the overpledged amount imports into Backerkit as a credit. If you add more items than you calculated for, you'll just pay the difference in Backerkit.
I've added the Twinborn Set, Bronze Clip, and Misting Keychain. I've used all of my overpledge credit from Kickstarter and will now continue to the shipping address section.

Meet the coin press, that is. We won't be covering news or politics, but instead talking about antique machines that we use to mint our coins! Woody, who is our Operations Manager and engraver, answers some questions about our main production press. All of the Era 1 coins are minted on this beautiful machine.

Helen's review: I've been carrying the Era 1 Boxing and the Era 2 Clip on my keyring for about 2 weeks now. The Era 1 Boxing alone is my personal favorite option. It's satisfying to hold and has a great weight compared in relation to my keyring. The Clips feel a bit small to me, but it's still fun to play with both of them together and hear them ringing together when they hit each other. Since I've been carrying this coin for a few weeks, you can see how the patina changes over time and how hand-polishing will bring the highlights out:

In my opinion, these coins look best when they are used and polished by hand. If you use it as a worry coin, you'll be able to see this natural patina develop and keep those highlights looking great.
The photos above are of keychain prototypes. Likely changes in the final product: a larger punched hole in the center of the topmost Allomantic symbol and a different small ring between the coin and keyring.
New Wooden Display Box options:
Wyrmwood Gaming has developed some new wood options that are now available to all backers as well as a new Era 2 engraving! That engraving is the letter "E" representing Elendel in the more modern-style Steel Alphabet. These upgrade options will be available to everyone during the Backerkit survey. If you are backing the Collector's Edition or Coinshot Deluxe tiers, you'll be able to select your ideal box from the dropdown menu when filling out your survey.
I just got news that the balloon taking the 38 Cosmerenaut Era 1 Boxings to the Stratosphere launched! I should get some images from its flight to Near Space in a few days. The predicted landing site is in the Eureka Valley at the
edge of Death Valley National Park. Check out Earth to Sky Calculus if you want to learn more about what they do.

Bronze Clips Unlocked! - Kickstarter Exclusive
We passed over our $75k mark this weekend, 750% of our goal. This unlocked the bronze Era 1 Clips. We will alter the reverse so that the Allomantic symbol represents bronze and not copper as is shown in the prototypes below. These solid bronze coins are now available as add-ons for $8 each in archival packaging or in packs of 6 coins without packaging for $36. You can add the amount to your pledge in Kickstarter or simply wait to get your survey and purchase them directly through Backerkit.
We are making these Kickstarter Exclusive - only backers (Skaa and above) will have access to these coins via Backerkit after the campaign. We will make as many as are ordered and then cut off the mintage. When we get closer to $100k, we'll post another stretch goal, but don't be surprised if it's a free bronze coin for Twinborn backers and up ;)

We have samples in hand from Wyrmwood. These boxes look wonderful. Helen shows how the boxes will arrive and shows some various display options you have with these boxes:

Griffin, who is working on the leather bags for the Coinshot and Cosmerenaut levels just sent this photo of the Kredik Shaw/Lord Ruler's symbol. It looks awesome! We can't wait to get these in hand.
